This week we saw Metallica perform live at Sheffield Arena on their new Death Magnetic tour. The atmosphere was amazing and the footage and pictures we got hopefully sum up just how brilliant it was in there.
Unfortunately I wasn't around in the early 80s to see them when they started out but if the other night was anything to go by they must have been incredible back in the day.
They did all the hits with the pyrotechnics and solos including a fantastic finale where they turned the lights on and let hundreds of gigantic black balls fall from the rafters of the stadium onto the crowd.
Truly amazing!
